my story
Hi, I’m Kaila Overton—and my relationship with wellness started long before I had language for it. Back in high school, I was learning how to listen to my body, manage stress, and stay grounded without realizing I was building the foundation for what would later become my life’s work. Fast forward to 2021, when I took my very first Pilates class and had an aha moment: this was movement that met me where I was. Today, I teach Pilates full-time in Washington, DC, supporting clients through in-person classes, virtual sessions, and community-centered offerings.
I’m passionate about wellness as a whole—mind, body, nervous system, and lifestyle. Pilates is the physical anchor of my work, where I guide both gentle and challenging movement designed to build strength, confidence, and awareness. Just as important is the community I aim to create: accessible, welcoming spaces where people feel seen, supported, and comfortable showing up exactly as they are. From donation-based classes to online offerings, my goal is for every class to feel like a place you belong—and maybe even where you meet a new friendly face.
